Being born in Romania (Bucharest), Edda has a special bond to Papucei, a brand with roots in the same country as she grew up in (and left during communism to live in Germany in her 20ies). It has been an honor for Edda to introduce Papucei to the US market some years ago, and it is especially exciting for us to add Papucei to our brand portfolio again for the SS25 season. In other exciting news, Papucei has added a ready-to-wear collection to their accessory and shoe line starting this season.

Papucei, a Romanian term meaning “little shoes”, embodies the essence of the brand, demonstrating the unwavering focus on footwear. This term is often used to denote a deep affection for a pair of shoes, reflecting our commitment to quality and value. Papucei is based in Iasi, Romania, a city renowned for its expertise in the shoemaking industry. The Papucei team comprises 60 accomplished craftsmen, three innovative engineers, and a talented designer, all contributing to the outstanding reputation of the Papucei factory.
We will be showing the Papucei SS25 collection at Curate New York from September 20th to 22nd. 547 W 28th St, New York, NY 10001 (Ground Level).
